| About Southern Fusion Productions |
Southern Fusion Productions (SFP) was founded in 2006 by Fatina and Liora in order to provide
only the best in cabaret, tribal, and fusion belly dance workshops. We envisioned bringing hot,
new dancers to town as well as hosting well-respected instructors from around the country.
Following the success of our first workshop, featuring Mardi Love of The Indigo & Belly Dance
Superstars, SFP went on to produce the first Southern Fusion Fest (SFF). The creation of
Fatina, SFF is an annual belly dance festival that features instructors from all disciplines of belly
dance. SFF is the only belly dance festival of its kind and has been recognized for its success
with a nomination for Best Event/Promoter 2008 by Zaghareet's Golden Belly Awards.
SFP looks to continually improve our productions and we truly appreciate the support of our

SFP Staff
Fatina - Director
Fatina is the co-founder and director of Southern Fusion Productions. She also teaches,
performs, and provides artistic direction for Troupe Hameeda in Athens, Georgia.
Fatina has studied and performed ballet, jazz, modern dance, and theater for most of her life.
She discovered Middle Eastern dance in 1999 when she moved to Atlanta. Since then she has
focused on the tribal fusion style, inspired most recently by Gypsy Caravan, Suhaila Salimpour,
Moria Chappell, Sharon Kihara, and the many beautiful tribal fusion dancers around the world.
Currently, Fatina spends most of her time on her studies at the University of Georgia's Veterinary
College of Medicine - she is in her last year of her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine program.
When she is not studying, she can be found dancing or working on SFP projects. She is strongly
committed to both the arts and science and is continually engaged in finding the balance

Liora - Webmistress / Marketer
Liora is the co-founder and webmistress / marketer of Southern Fusion Productions. She is also
a Tribal Fusion and Middle Eastern Dance performer, instructor, writer, and costume designer in
Atlanta, GA.
Liora began dancing at an early age by studying classical ballet and modern jazz. She
discovered belly dance in 2002 through the Evening at Emory program with Isabel Crunk. She
then studied classical and modern Egyptian and Turkish belly dance with Diane Adams of
Company Mezza, and ATS and world fusion with Zi'ah Ali of Awalim. Liora continues her studies
by taking workshops with master instructors including Moria Chappell; Rachel Brice, Zoe Jakes,
Mardi Love, and Sharon Kihara of The Indigo; Suhaila Salimpour; Tamalyn Dallal; Ansuya; and
many others.
Liora also shares her passion for belly dance through writing, teaching, and sewing. She has
had articles published in Zaghareet! and Jareeda and has her own line of tribal belly dance
